How The Nelford Clinic assesses this
The assessment covers your symptoms, how long they've lasted, their impact on your life, your medical and medication history, and includes standard questions used to help gauge severity and risk.
Who this service may be suitable for
May be suitable for adults with mild to moderate depression where ongoing clinical review and, where appropriate, medication may help.
When online treatment may not be appropriate
Online assessment is not appropriate if you are having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, have severe depression, or symptoms suggesting a condition needing urgent or specialist in-person mental-health care - your clinician will direct you to the right service if so.
Treatment approach
Where appropriate, your clinician discusses treatment options, which may include medication, and signposts talking therapies and other support.
Suitability and treatment are always decided by individual clinical assessment. A prescription is never automatic and is not guaranteed.
Safety and follow-up
Regular follow-up is arranged for anyone started on medication, including checking how you're responding and any side effects.
