Accessibility
We're building The Nelford Clinic to meet WCAG 2.2 AA from the start, not as a retrofit.
Pre-launch draft - not yet legally approved
Our target
This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That includes keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, semantic headings and landmarks, labelled forms with clear error messages, colour contrast that doesn't rely on colour alone, and touch targets sized for real use on a phone.
How we test
Every critical page is checked with automated tooling (axe-core) as a first pass, and with manual keyboard testing - automated tools only catch a minority of real accessibility issues, so both matter.
Pages are tested at representative mobile, tablet and desktop sizes, and checked for correct behaviour at 400% zoom.
Known limitations
This site is in pre-launch. Full assistive-technology testing (for example, with a screen reader across every critical journey) is an ongoing process, not something we're claiming is finished. If you find an accessibility problem, please tell us.
